The CAO of Komrem Region under the Government of the Peoples’ Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has affirmed the bona fide Naga tribe status of the Aimol, Chiru, Kom, Koireng, Kharam, and Purum tribes as they have officially merged with the Nagas. The GPRN stated that there should be no confusion regarding the tribal identities of these groups.
“Therefore, these Naga tribes should not be harassed in any manner including in the name of taxation by the Kuki organizations or valley based organizations,” stated the NSCN-IM adding, these Naga tribes as part of the Naga family should be respected and honoured.
