The NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato) has announced the induction of 39 members from various Naga Political Groups (NPGs) into its fold. In a statement issued by its Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the faction welcomed the homecomers and commended their “inherent aptitude and vivacious mindset” in joining what it described as the mainstream NSCN, under a leadership committed to resolving the protracted Naga political issue.

According to the release, the Naga Army personnel among the new entrants were led by Col. John Magh, Col. Ikheho Chishi, and Capt. Tiso Angami, while the civilian cadres were led by Kilonser N. Ovung and Deputy Kilonser David Lotha.
