NSCN-IM Tatar Hoho holds Winter Session
The NSCN-IM president, Q Tuccu, on Thursday, during the Tatar Hoho Winter Session, criticized the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) for failing to create a unified platform for Naga political groups, while urging members to maintain internal unity in pursuit of the community’s political goals.
Addressing the session at Chq/Hebron, Tuccu said that although NSCN-IM had engaged professionally with the FNR to reconcile differences among Naga factions, the forum “has not been able to achieve the primary objective of bringing trust and cooperation among the different groups.” He added that the situation has instead increased polarization within the Naga political movement, with multiple factions emerging with “doubtful credentials.”
The NSCN-IM president also criticized what he described as the “dubious role of pseudo-Naga intellectuals,” accusing some of attempting to manipulate public opinion and create confusion regarding the organization’s objectives. He stressed that demands for recognition of the Naga flag and constitution are grounded in the sovereign rights of the Naga nation and are “non-negotiable.” Tuccu said, “What belongs to the Nagas are with us and there is no need to demand it from India. We are simply asking for recognition of Naga flag and constitution based on the sovereign right of the Naga nation.”

He also alleged that certain groups were acting with a “Machiavellian motive” to undermine the NSCN-IM, claiming that some attempts to manipulate public opinion are part of a larger “game plan” influenced by Indian agencies.
Highlighting the importance of strategic planning and unity, Tuccu emphasized that a cohesive approach among Naga groups is essential to withstand both internal and external pressures. “Unity among us is the cornerstone of our political movement, helping to withstand divisive aggression against the Naga nation and enabling a more effective and collective response to challenges,” he said.
The NSCN-IM president concluded by urging members to protect public trust in the organization, stating that the group has adopted the slogan “Nagalim for Christ” as a guiding principle in their ongoing political struggle. (Read the full text here)
