Mokokchung, 15 December (MTNews): The NSCN-IM in its one-day Tatar Hoho winter session held on 14 December, 2023, at Council Headquarters, Hebron resolved that it will continue to engage with the Government of India and pursue the Indo-Naga political talks under the leadership of Yaruiwo Q Tuccu.

Tuccu, who was leading the session, in his address, openly conveyed his discontent with the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks. According to the NSCN-IM, MIP’s statement received here, he did not mince words in highlighting what he referred to as an underlying “trust deficit.” Tuccu pointed out that the Government of India (GOI) had, in his view, systematically perpetrated political injustice, characterized by what he described as “deceit and flattery.”

Nevertheless, aligned with the sentiments expressed by Tuccu, the Tatar Hoho adopted a resolution during the session. The resolution emphasized that despite the perceived trust deficit, the NSCN remains committed to engaging with the GOI.

“NSCN will continue to engage with GOI and pursue the Indo-Naga political talks under the leadership of Yaruiwo with integrity, courage and determination as Naga political issue is something that is sacrosanct to the Nagas,” it stated.
