The NSCN-IM has refuted claims made by Zhalipu of the NGBF (Nagaland Gaon Burah Federation) regarding the common drafting of the Framework Agreement and the Agreed Position into a single agreement. According to the NSCN, at no point did NSCN Chairman Q Tuccu and Deputy Ato Kilonser General Atem give their consent to such a proposal, calling the statement made by Zhalipu a “blatant lie” and a malicious attempt to damage the NSCN’s political standing.
“This is blatant lie and tantamount to be charged for breach of faith and malicious damage to NSCN’s political standing that strongly advocated for principle-based solution to Naga political solution,” it said.
While the NGBF did meet with General Atem on February 4, 2025 on the matter, the NSCN clarified that no official commitment was made during that meeting. The NGBF was informed that the matter would be discussed internally within the NSCN, and any decision on the issue would be taken accordingly, should the need arise.
