Mokokchung, 4 March (MTNews): The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) has refuted a news report published by one Dil Bar Irshad, a media person, regarding an alleged tense stand-off in Dimapur. The “out of context” news story claimed a face-off between NSCN-IM cadres and Assam Rifles near Patkai College, with a reported date of 01 March 2024 at 08:26 EST.
The NSCN-IM clarified that the incident happened over a decade ago, branding the report as baseless and highly unethical. “No wonder this incident happened more than one decade ago and for no reason this non-existing stand-off was made to go viral. It is highly unethical for media persons to sensationalize news report that doesn’t exist at all,” it said.
The NSCN-IM disclaimed any responsibility for the viral false news. “NSCN holds no responsibility for such baseless news-viral,” it said.
