The NSCN-IM has vehemently condemned the vandalization of the Naga Club heritage building that housed the office of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) by miscreants on Saturday saying that “the act of insanity” is beyond their comprehension.

 

“This is an insult of the highest degree not only to NSF, the apex body of Naga students units spread across Nagalim, but also to the identity of Naga freedom movement,” the NSCN said in the statement on Sunday.
“Naga Club building has been standing as a ‘historical memory’ to remind us of our national identity when the Naga political movement for freedom started,” it stated.

 

While condemning the “act of depravity that has shaken the consciousness of all right thinking Nagas,” the NSCN-IM has also appealed to the law-enforcing agency to act with all seriousness to identify the culprits.

 

Naga People’s Front expresses anguish over vandalism of NSF Office

 

The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has expressed its anguish and strong condemnation regarding the recent act of vandalism by “unknown miscreants” that occurred at the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) office (Naga Club Building).

 

The NPF has denounced this act as uncivilized and contrary to the cultural values of the Naga society. The NPF has described the “destroying one of our most preserved heritage building” as a “purely barbaric plan.”

 

In response to the incident, the NPF urged upon the law enforcing agency of the Government to come into conclusion immediately by booking the culprits as per the law of the land.
