The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) has declared a general amnesty, urging all members who have “gone astray” to return and rejoin the movement for Naga self-determination. The proclamation was made by Q Tuccu, Yaruiwo (President) of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, through an official statement issued under his hand and seal.

Stating that the Naga political movement has spanned “over seventy-five years where we have invested blood, sweats and tears to define the Naga nation as given by our Almighty God,” the NSCN-IM emphasized the need to halt any actions that obstruct the ongoing nation-building process.

The National Security Council (NSC) of the group, in a decision taken on May 30, 2025, declared that the amnesty is extended to those who have “gone astray from doing what they have vowed before God and Naga nation in defending the historical and political rights of the Nagas.”

The proclamation highlighted key recognitions that “the Naga national objective remains elusive because of our own misdoings”; “That our battle cry ‘Nagalim for Christ’ must be taken care with divine connection and guidance; and “that the urgency to join hands in the struggle for self-determination and the protection of our history, heritage and culture”.

Calling for a spirit of “forgiveness and integrity,” the NSCN leadership invited all concerned individuals to “humbly come forward to avail the general amnesty within the stipulated period of 45 days with effect from this 12th day of June 2025.”
