The NSCN (IM) Sumi Region has reaffirmed its support for the 2015 Framework Agreement, calling on the Government of India to expedite its implementation. During the Sumi Region ‘National Workers Meeting cum Caretaker CAO Induction Programme,’ held on October 5, 2024, in Zunheboto HQ, members from various blocks of Zunheboto District gathered to express their collective stance on the agreement.

In a statement, the Sumi Region “National Workers” of NSCN/GPRN fervently appealed to the Government of India to “expedite the Historic Agreement that was signed on 3 August 2015” and urged the central government to implement the Framework Agreement at the earliest. The group expressed appreciation for the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Late Isak Chishi Swu, and Th Muivah, under whose efforts the “Historic Framework Agreement” was signed.

The workers also urged the Govt. of India and its representatives not to shy away from the historic agreement that the whole world, stating that they are in full view and aware and also expressed to implement the Framework Agreement at the earliest.

The members also pointed out how the “Indo-Naga issue” has been delayed for far too long and to bring about a permanent solution, the ‘Framework Agreement’ is the only honorable and respectable solution.

The Sumi Region “NationalWorkers” also prayed to Almighty God and wished for good wisdom and better health to be granted upon their leaders and extended its fullest to the Framework Agreement.
