The NSCN-K (Khango) has taken disciplinary action against one of its cadres, Pvt. Akhekhevi, S/O Ahovi Assumi of Kiyezu B village, following the physical assault and intimidation of a pastor from Yanpha village.

The NSCN initiated the action due to Pvt. Akhekhevi’s “deviation from the norms of Naga Army Rules & Regulations (RR)” and his “conduct unbecoming of a Naga Army and a National worker.”

In response to the incident, the NSCN/GPRN issued a termination order for Pvt. Akhekhevi.

Following his dismissal, he was handed over to his family members and the village leaders of Kiyezu B from the Kilo Kilonser’s office on August 26, 2024, at 2:30 pm.

The handover took place in the presence of senior NSCN officials, the family members, and village authorities of Kiyezu B village.

The NSCN stated that the matter is now in the hands of the family and village leaders for “necessary perusal thereafter.”
