The NSCN-K (Niki) has expressed grief over the sudden and untimely passing away of Lieutenant (posthumous) Shetoi Yeptho, son of Zhevukhu Yeptho of Surumi village under Sumi Region on July 2 in Myanmar occupied Naga Lands. He was serving under the Eastern Command.

“He served the Naga Nation with dedication, sincerity and loyalty. In recognition of the service rendered towards the Naga Nation, 2nd Lieutenant Shetoi Yeptho, bearing Army No-21083 has been posthumously bestowed the rank of Lieutenant,” stated the MIP through a press statement.

It further stated that Lieut. Yeptho’s selfless service shall always be cherished and recorded in the pages of Naga history.

“Deeply mourning his untimely demise, NSCN/GPRN acknowledged the family for giving the Naga nation a great son and patriot. The NSCN/GPRN conveys heartfelt condolences to the family of the departed soul,” it added.
