The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), in a weather update for the coming days, stated that the state will experience light to moderate rainfall and cloudy conditions across almost all districts from May 15 to 21.

Additionally, the NSDMA has forecast heavy rainfall across all districts on May 18. These showers may be accompanied by lightning at isolated locations. Intermittent rainfall is expected throughout the state during this period.

As such, the NSDMA emphasized the importance of taking necessary precautions, including measures to avoid lightning strikes and high winds, which can disrupt communication and connectivity.

In this regard, the NSDMA, Home Department has urged the public to exercise caution to prevent any untoward incidents. It has also requested all District Disaster Management Authorities and other concerned departments to remain on high alert to safeguard lives and property during the monsoon season.
