The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued a weather advisory warning of heavy rainfall across most districts till August 9.
“Very heavy rainfall is expected in Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Zunheboto, Mokokchung, Longleng, Mon and Tuensang on August 7 and 8, likely accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning at localized areas,” NSDMA stated.
Intermittent rainfall is likely across the state. Lowland and foothill areas such as Dimapur, Nuiland, Chumoukedima, Bhandari, Pangti, Tizit and Tuli remain vulnerable to water logging and flash floods.
