Kohima, 18 August (MTNews): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has forecasted that the state is likely to experience cloudy weather conditions along with moderate to very heavy rainfall.

 

According to NSDMA, weather activity is expected to intensify starting from 20 August, bringing frequent spells of rain. Thundershowers accompanied by heavy rains and cloudy conditions are anticipated in Kohima, Phek, Wokha, Zunheboto, Mokochung, Mon, Kiphire, Tuensang, and Shamator from 19 – 24 August.

 

NSDMA has urged the public to exercise caution to prevent any untoward incidents during this period. Additionally, the authority has requested all District Disaster Management Authorities to remain vigilant and prepared to safeguard lives and property throughout the monsoon season.
