The Naga Students’ Federation has in a memorandum addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, appealed to him for a logical conclusion to the protracted Indo- Naga problem.
The NSF asked the Prime Minister to translate into reality his declaration to the international community that the Indo-Naga issue, South-East Asia’s longest running conflict, has brought to its logical conclusion.
The Memorandum signed by NSF President Kegwayhun Tep and General Secretary Siipuni Ng Philo said Naga peoples’ assertion for self-determination is never a secessionist movement.
The Federation reiterated its earlier stand that Naga youth and students will never accept an economic package based piecemeal solution. Stating that divisive roles are being played by the various agencies of the Government of India, NSF asked the Prime Minister to stop such elements from deepening the crisis which will only lead to a fall-out in the ongoing peace process.
