Kohima, January 18 (MTNews): In a letter to the Secretary of the Department of Transport, Government of Nagaland, Atokiho Sumi, Convener of Public Grievances Cell & Vice President of NSF, and Medovi Rhi, Public Grievances Cell & Secretary Education of NSF demanded that the declared result for the posts of Driver Grade-II be cancelled immediately.
According to the Federation, the Transport Department issued an advertisement for applications for Driver Grade-II positions on December 31, 2022, which was followed by interviews and examinations on January 9, 2023, and the announcement of the selected list on January 13, 2023.
According to the Federation, application numbers 2, 30, 46, and 90 were ‘rejected’ as listed by the department on January 9, 2023, yet the same individuals were selected as per the notification dated January 13, 2023.
In response to the matter, the Federation urged that the department immediately “cancel the declared result and that a transparent and fair mode of selection be conducted for the concerned posts.”
Further, the Federation emphasized that they will not tread lightly on topics “which compromise the future of our well-deserved members through unfair means and that which promote broad daylight corruption.”
