Mokokchung, 28 November (MTNews): In the midst of exam preparations, students across the state face a critical challenge—unreliable electricity. In view of this, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has emphasized the urgent need for the government to address the frequent power outages and load shedding that significantly impact students’ ability to study effectively and perform well in exams.

The NSF, representing the concerns of students, has through a press release, a copy of which was received here, called on the government to take immediate action to enhance electricity supply, ensuring uninterrupted power access for all students during the exam period.

The NSF maintained that the importance of electricity in students’ lives, especially during exams, cannot be overstated. It powers essential study tools such as laptops, tablets, and lights, enabling effective and focused study sessions. However, the persistent lack of electricity disrupts not only study routines but also affects students’ mental well-being and overall performance. With the intense pressure to excel in exams, the added stress of unreliable electricity exacerbates anxiety among students, creating an unfair situation for those striving to secure a better future.

The NSF emphasized that investing in enhancing electricity supply during exam periods is an investment in the state’s future. Beyond alleviating the stress and anxiety faced by students, it is seen as a contribution to their academic success. Moreover, such measures send a powerful message that the government values education and are committed to providing a conducive environment for learning.
