Kohima, 22 April (MTNews): With government of Nagaland assuring that after completion of the present cycle of recruitment by NSSB, the government shall call for a ‘detailed consultation’ with the NSF, the federation has cancelled their proposed democratic agitation. Following this, the Secretary -cum- Controller of Examination NSSB has issued a notification stating that the Viva-Voce for the Combined Staff Recruitment Examination (CSRE) 2022 has been rescheduled to commence with effect from 24 April 2023 (Monday) onwards.

It may be recalled that the NSF has been demanding that the marks percentage for the Personal Interview for the CSRE 2022 conducted by NSSB be reduced from 12.5% to 5% to which the government has been reluctant leading to NSF boycotting the viva-voce and the government postponing the exam from the date initially set to be held on 18 April.

According to the federation, because the government of Nagaland conveyed that their demand has been looked into with ‘utmost seriousness’ and was assured that the government shall call for a ‘detailed consultation’ to examine the entire matter in the next cycle of recruitment to be conducted by the NSSB, and that they will arrive at an ‘agreed solution’ to the matter, they have cancelled the agitation.

The federation also appreciated the leadership of CM Rio for ‘ensuring free and fair recruitment process in the government job market’ by making NSSB functional in the state and for assuring that ‘lacunas within the NSSB 2020 will be addressed before the next cycle of examination.

The NSF also extended their gratitude to its federating units and subordinate bodies, aspirants, parents and the general public for their continued support towards the federation in their journey to uphold the aspirations of the students and youth community and for posterity.

The Secretary -cum- Controller of Examination NSSB has informed that the revised schedule for Viva Voce shall be available on the official website of the board at https://nssb.nagaland.gov.in
The candidates have been informed to check the website and strictly comply with the instructions accordingly.
