The 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 witnessed a dominating performance from Anal Lenruwl Tangpi Manipur, who brushed aside Jakhama Youth Organisation (JYO) with a 6–1 victory at Chumoukedima Football Stadium on Wednesday.
From the very outset, Anal Lenruwl Tangpi took control of the game as Thumsol opened the scoring in the 11th minute and later completed a brilliant hat-trick with strikes in first-half stoppage time (45+5’) and the 71st minute. Changkingum doubled the lead with a quick-fire brace in the 16th and 19th minutes, while Winkle added his name to the scoresheet in the 34th minute.
Despite being under pressure, Jakhama Youth Organisation managed to pull one back just before halftime through Kunuzo Venyo in the 45+4th minute. However, the second half saw Anal Lenruwl Tangpi continue their dominance, sealing the match comfortably with a 6–1 victory.
With his standout performance, Kagaly of Anal Lenruwl Tangpi was named Player of the Match.
With this victory, Anal Lenruwl Tangpi marched into the pre-quarterfinals, where they will face a strong Nagaland Police side on October 9 in what promises to be a high-voltage encounter.
The match was graced by Kikrukhrietuo Yhoshü, President of the Chümoukedima District Sports Shooting Association, as the match patron.
