Kuki United FC defeated Damokles FC Medziphema 5–1 in the ongoing 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium on Wednesday.
Kuki United wasted no time asserting dominance as Lunaldo scored in the 10th minute, setting the tone for the game. In the second half, the floodgates opened as Letgoulal doubled the lead in the 51st minute. However, just three minutes later, an unfortunate own goal by the same player in the 54th minute gave Damokles FC a glimmer of hope.
Kuki United quickly regained composure, with Paonaldo Kuki extending the lead with a fine strike in the 60th minute. The relentless attack continued, as Seivanglen Kuki sealed the win with a brace, scoring in the 70th and 87th minutes, completing a dominant 5–1 victory for the Kuki team.
With this emphatic win, Kuki United has secured its place in the pre-quarterfinals of the prestigious tournament, where it will face a formidable opponent, Delhi Police, on October 9.
