The National Statistics Office (NSO), Field Operations Division (FOD), Kohima Regional Office, under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, has commenced fieldwork for the All India Debt and Investment Survey (AIDIS), Migration Survey, and Situation Assessment Survey (SAS) of Agricultural Households in Nagaland.

The surveys will be conducted from July 2026 to June 2027 and are aimed at collecting comprehensive data to support evidence-based policymaking and development planning.

According to the NSO, the All India Debt and Investment Survey will assess the financial health of households by gathering information on debt, assets, liabilities, credit access and capital formation in both rural and urban areas.

The Migration Survey will focus on internal migration patterns, employment, remittances and short-term mobility to help design policies on worker welfare and social security.

The Situation Assessment Survey of Agricultural Households will collect data on agricultural income, landholdings, assets, cultivation practices and the overall condition of farming households. The findings are expected to support agricultural development and farmer welfare initiatives.
