The Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) held a farewell programme and general body meeting at the Secretariat Conference Hall in Kohima to honour seven officers retiring in 2025.

The officers being felicitated were Imtitemsu (Additional Secretary), Arenla Imchen (Under Secretary), K. Libanthung Patton (Deputy Secretary), Thenjangusanuo Savino (Joint Secretary), K. Tsapongla Sangtam (Joint Secretary), Rhonthungo Andreas (Deputy Secretary), and Neirienuo Mepfhuo-o (Section Officer). Their years of dedicated service were acknowledged in the presence of colleagues and members of the Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA).
Delivering a speech on behalf of the retiring officers, Rhonthungo Andreas, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economics and Statistics, thanked the association and his peers for their support. He noted the remarkable progress made by the NSS and urged younger officers to stay committed and continue upholding the values of the service.
NSSA President Chubasangla Longkumer, in her address, stressed the importance of celebrating milestones such as retirements and association events. She expressed appreciation for the good turnout and emphasized that such participation fosters unity. She also noted that this event marked the second phase of the retirement celebrations for 2025 and extended her best wishes to the retirees for a fulfilling life ahead.
She further informed the gathering of two upcoming sensitisation programmes focusing on the New Pension Scheme and the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), expected to be held later in August.
The programme began with an invocation by Additional Secretary of the Home Department, Nusieta Rhakho. A special song was also presented by the 54th NSS batch to honour the retirees.
During the business session, new members were inducted into the Board of Directors of the NSS Cooperative Society Ltd. Additionally, a sensitisation programme on the National Pension System (NPS) was conducted by the Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSSGEF), providing useful insights for the attendees.
