The Nagaland Shooting Sports Association (NSSA), in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources & Sports (DYRS), Government of Nagaland, is set to organize a free training and competition programme under the theme “Sports for All.” The event will be held from August 22 to 30, 2025, at the Temjen Toy Indoor Shooting Range, located at the NSSA Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex in Duncan, Dimapur.

This inclusive initiative is open to participants from across Nagaland, including differently-abled and hearing-impaired individuals, with eligibility starting from 10 years of age and above. Participants will compete in the 10-meter Air Pistol and Air Rifle categories.

The programme offers hands-on training under an expert instructor from the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, who is also a former Assistant Professor (Shooting) at the Department of Sports Coaching, National Sports University, Manipur. The course will cover safety protocols, fundamental techniques, and the technical, tactical, psychological, and physiological aspects of shooting.

Facilities include a fully air-conditioned 10-meter indoor shooting range and an outdoor shooting space. Medals and certificates will be awarded to top performers, while selected athletes will be sponsored for advanced training.

Interested participants can register online via this link or offline by contacting 8974269433 on WhatsApp. The initiative promises not only to boost grassroots engagement in shooting sports but also to promote personal growth through improved discipline, confidence, concentration, and motor skills.
