Prof Ashutosh Tripathi has been honored with the Senior Scientist 2024 Award for his exceptional contributions to the field of Solid Waste Management.
This prestigious recognition was presented by the Environment Science and Development Association (ESDA) at the 5th World Environment Summit 2024, an international conference held from November 16-18, 2024, at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi.
The award was conferred by Justice Sudhir Agrawal, Retired Judge and Member of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), in the presence of distinguished environmentalists, including Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Anil Prakash Joshi.
A press release issued by NU PRO Peter Ki stated that Prof Ashutosh Tripathi serves as Professor and Head, Department of Environmental Science, Nagaland University. He is an expert in various environmental management fields, and his areas of specialization include wastewater treatment, air pollution treatment, bioremediation, and solid waste management. Additionally, his area of interest also encompasses the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the context of environmental sustainability and resource management.
