The Nagaland University Research Scholars’ Forum (NURSF), Kohima Campus, organized a one-day National Level Workshop on “Research Paper Writing” at the Department of Commerce Conference Hall, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, on April 8, 2025. The program was conducted in hybrid mode. The event marked the first time that a research scholars’ organization at the university independently hosted a national-level academic workshop, drawing participation from faculty, research scholars, and students from universities across the country.

The workshop received international attention, with scholars from Cambodia, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka participating as a special case, showcasing the global relevance and appeal of the program. The inaugural session was graced by Prof N Venuh, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Prof Nigamananda Das, NURSF Advisor, along with faculty members from multiple departments. Chaired by Petekhrinou Keditsou, a welcome address was delivered by Sakilur Rahman, Convenor of the Workshop and President of NURSF.

The workshop was conducted in two focused sessions: one for Social Sciences, Management, Humanities, and Education, and the other for Science and Engineering. The session for Social Sciences, Management, Humanities, and Education was led by Prof. Khudrakpam Devananda Singh, Head of the Department of Management, Nagaland University, while the Science and Engineering session was led by Prof. Sujata Dash, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology. Prof. Dash has been recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists for her outstanding contributions to research.

Participants actively engaged in both sessions, providing insightful responses and fostering dynamic academic discussions throughout the workshop. The event concluded with a strong call for continued scholarly collaboration and the promotion of quality research practices across disciplines. The success of the event sets a strong precedent for future academic initiatives led by research scholars and further strengthens the role of NURSF in the academic landscape.
