Mangkolemba Town Council: ADC Mangkolemba, T Lankonsen Tsanglao, administered the oath of affirmation to the newly elected members of the Mangkolemba Town Council. A total of nine members, representing the nine wards of Mangkolemba, undertook the oath to discharge their duties faithfully and diligently.
The elected members are: C Temsula (NDPP) – Hokiyong Ward; Imtiyanger (IND) – Tenemtzuyong Ward; Zamok (INC) – Nokyu Ward; Limasenla Jamir (NDPP) – Tzulumang Ward; Toshiwati Lusang (IND) – Satihit Ward; A. Meren Walling (IND) – Luyong Ward; Temsumenla (NDPP) – Mangko Ward; Supongtsungba (NDPP) – Kumpani Ward; and Alemtoshi Walling (IND) – Tzutagong Ward
Chiephobozou Town Council: The oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected councillors of the Chiephobozou Town Council, including the nine unopposed elected members, was held on 5 July 2024 at the Customary Court, Chiephobozou Town. Returning Officer & ADC Chiephobozou, Alemyapang Longchar, thanked the HoDs, various public organizations, and colonies’ chairmen for the peaceful and successful conduct of the ULB election.
President NDPP, 11 Northern Angami II, Kechalhoubei Taile, encouraged the elected members to function with utmost dedication, focusing on sanitation and the beautification of the town. He advised them to be humble while dealing with the public and to build a better relationship with the people for the betterment of the township.
Peren, Jalukie and Tening Town Councils: Newly elected members of the Peren, Jalukie, and Tening Town Councils took an oath of affirmation at a ceremony held at the DC’s Conference Hall, Peren, on 5 July 2024.
During the ceremony, the following members were elected for the positions of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, with their names forwarded to the government for necessary approval:
Peren Town Council: Mireulung Sephe (NDPP) as Chairperson and Hunganbo (NDPP) as Deputy Chairperson
Jalukie Town Council: Hadi (NDPP) as Chairperson and Tingba Hegui (NDPP) as Deputy Chairperson
Tening Town Council: Lungchui (NDPP) as Chairperson and Pauzin Rentta (Independent) as Deputy Chairperson
Wokha Town Council: The oath-taking ceremony of the elected members of WTC was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference on 5th July 2024.
The elected members of WTC took the oath of affirmation in the presence of ADC & Returning Officer, Wokha, K Furhesie Nyuwi, and ARO & SDO (C), Tsudi. Following this, an election for the posts of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson for WTC was conducted.
In accordance with the letter of support submitted to the RO & ADC by the PDA partners, Khozamo Lotha (NDPP) and Nzano P Kikon (BJP) were elected as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson, respectively.
Zunheboto Town Council: The oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected members of the Zunheboto, Atoizu, Satakha, and Aghunato Town Councils were held at the DC’s conference hall in Zunheboto on 5th July 2024. The Oath of Affirmation was administered by the Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, to all the elected members.
Chumoukedima and Medziphema Town Council:
DC, Chumoukedima Abhinav Shivam, IAS who administered the oath of affirmation to the newly elected Councillors of Chumoukedima Town Council and Medziphema Town Council. Later, Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson were elected, where Lhousito Khro (NDPP) from ward -2 was elected as Chairperson and Moala Ao (NDPP) from ward- 7 as Deputy Chairperson from Chumoukedima Town Council.
Under Medziphema Town Council- Abei Thepa (NDPP) from ward 5 was elected as Chairperson, and while Neisaleno Khro (NDPP) from ward -1 was elected as Deputy Chairperson.
