One day training for Sector Magistrates held in Mokokchung, Wokha

Mokokchung, 2 February (MTNews): In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election in 2024, a one-day training session for the Sector Magistrates was held on February 2nd, 2024, at the DC Conference Hall, Mokokchung. Chumlamo Humtsoe, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, delivered the welcome address, while Renben Mozhui, Assistant Election Officer of Mokokchung, gave a short briefing on the functions of Sector Officers to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process. He also emphasized the necessity of organizing awareness programs on EVM demonstration and SVEEP.

This session marked the first phase of training for the Sector Magistrates in preparation for the upcoming election. Mesutoba Ao, Assistant Professor at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, and Wabang Mollier, PGT at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung, served as the Master Trainers.

Training of Sector Magistrates, Sector Commanders and flagging off EVM demonstration Van was also held in Wokha. Addressing the Sector Magistrates and Commanders, Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Ajit Kumar Ranjan appealed them to check and ensure that minimum facilities like toilets, water supply, electricity and rams are available in all the polling stations. He also urged them to work in co-ordination with the respective Booth Level Officers. Hands-on EVM demonstration was given to the sector magistrates and sector commanders. Later, the DC flagged off the EVM mobile demonstration van.
