Opangtongdang Jamir, a Naga Fashion Supermodel, Influencer, and Mister International India 2012, has been invited to serve as the Creative Director, Mentor, and Grooming Guru for the annual state pageant, Miss Assam 2023.
Twenty candidates from across Assam will be competing for the title of Miss Assam 2023, with the Grand Finale scheduled for October 20th at Ambiance Banquet, Exotica Greens Zoo Road, Guwahati.
Opang expressed his excitement, noting that the candidates are all vibrant and visionary individuals who are actively making a difference in their communities, advocating for various causes. The show will be structured into three rounds: the first round featuring traditional attire (Mekhela Chador), the second round with cocktail dresses (Designer Cocktail High), and the third round showcasing long gowns (Designer Dreams Zone Institute).
The event is directed by Shyamanga Kashyap and co-directed by Akumnaro Imsong, who was crowned Miss Mokokchung 2006, Miss Nagaland 2006, and Mega Miss Northeast 2008. This year, the title sponsor is Dabur Gulabari, and the associate partners include Vinho Porto, Spirit Adventure, and Eco Spirit.
