Sovima, 1 April (MTNews): An orientation program for North East Umpires got underway today at Sovima, scheduled to be held from 1- 7 April, is being conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and hosted by Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).

A total of 43 participants from NE States are participating in the Orientation Program.

The inaugural session was presided by Krishna Pophale, Manager-BCCI where he welcomed all the participants and also thanked NCA for hosting the program. It was followed by opening remarks from Hyunilo Anilo Khing, Hon. Secretary, NCA, where he welcomed the participants, faculty and BCCI official. He expressed his gratitude to the BCCI for their extended support and rapid developments in the NorthEast region. He also encouraged the participants to give their cent percent and wished them and the faculty the best.

Rajiv Risodkar and Bharat Naik are the educators for the program.
