One day orientation training on External Evaluation for District Level External Evaluators under Shaala Siddhi Exercise was organized by State Mission Authority Samagra Shiksha Nagaland at District Education Office Mokokchung on Monday.
Sentinenla, District Education Officer Mokokchung, during her welcome address said that the orientation program was a need of the hour adding that most schools in the district were unable to complete the Shaala Siddhi syllabus on time.
The DEO went on to say that it is very important to assess the schools so as to review the performance of the schools and identify the strengths and areas for improvement. She urged the external evaluators to procure and provide accurate data so that the school will be evaluated and benefited accordingly.
Rukozo Hosi, State Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland took over the commencement of the program.
During the training, Hosi highlighted that the objectives of the program were to review school performance to validate, complement and supplement the School Self-Evaluation, thereby helping the school to identify its strengths and areas for improvement; To support the school to identify its prioritization for incremental improvement of the school performance; To highlight innovative, creative and best practices of the school; To facilitate the school to develop an action plan and support towards improvement in an incremental and sustainable manner.
Earlier, Temjensangla, Project Assistant, In-charge of Shaala Siddhi DMA SS Mokokchung chaired the program while the vote of thanks was delivered by Imkongwabang, Asst. District Coordinator, DMA Samagra Shiksha Mokokchung.
