Shamator, 1 June (MTNews): The farewell program for Thsuvisie Phoji, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Shamator district, was held on 1 June at the DBs Court within the DC Office Complex in Shamator. During his address to the gathering, Thsuvisie emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation for the development of the newly formed district. He urged the residents to maintain the spirit of brotherhood for peaceful coexistence between the Yimkhiung and Tikhir tribes and to uplift the new district.

Thsuvisie acknowledged that Shamator district had faced numerous challenges and struggles, including conducting the general election. However, through the collective cooperation and teamwork of the community, the election was carried out successfully. He expressed his gratitude to the Heads of Offices, Government Officials, Civil Society Organizations, and the people of Shamator for their support during his tenure. Thsuvisie urged the same level of cooperation to be extended to the new Deputy Commissioner who would assume office.

 

It may be mentioned here that Thsuvisie Phoji NCS has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung during the recent bureaucratic reshuffling by the government of Nagaland.
