More than 1,000 job seekers participated in the State-Wide Mega Job Fair 2026, held on March 21 at the Integrated Business Hub & Innovation Centre (IBH&IC), Forest Colony, Dimapur.
The fair, organized by the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) in collaboration with the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and NIELIT Kohima, provided employment opportunities across local, national, and international markets.
Advisor to CM & Chairman IDAN, Abu Metha, inaugurated the event by launching the NSEDM portal, a new online platform aimed at connecting youth with career opportunities beyond the one-day event. Addressing participants, Metha emphasized that “showing up is the first step towards building a career” and encouraged applicants to be honest, skillful, and adaptive in today’s competitive job market.
The fair covered a wide range of sectors, including IT and IT-enabled services, healthcare and nursing, hospitality and aviation, construction, manufacturing, culinary, and retail. Representatives from companies such as ASPOREA, ITC, and ASMACS highlighted sector-specific opportunities and stressed the importance of skill development, professionalism, and continuous learning.
Officials said the initiative was designed to give job seekers exposure to diverse industries and facilitate meaningful interactions with recruiters. The newly launched online portal allows candidates to register, explore opportunities, and stay updated on recruitment beyond the event day.
Metha also urged the youth to become positive ambassadors of Nagaland, showcasing stories of excellence and achievement while aspiring for long-term growth and career advancement.
