The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, in collaboration with the Art & Culture Department, Nagaland, observed Parakram Diwas 2026 today on the occasion of the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at State Academy Hall, Kohima.

Speaking as the guest of honour, Nagaland’s CAWD & Taxes advisor Kudecho Khamo described Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as a true patriot and visionary leader.

“His courage, charisma, and unwavering commitment to India’s freedom which inspired India more than 80 years ago continue to inspire us today,” Khamo said. He added that Netaji’s vision for unity, commitment, and sacrifice ignited the spirit of patriotism, inspiring thousands to join the Indian National Army.

Dr. Er. Vekho Swuro, INA & Netaji Trust representative, also addressed the gathering. The welcome address was delivered by Bodeno S. Colo, Secretary, Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Adela Moa, Director, Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland.

The event featured cultural performances by Khriekesa Kro (Angami), Tesophenyu Students Union (Rengma), Kuzhami Cultural Society (Chakhesang), and Rhythm Music Centre, Dimapur (Bengali cultural troupe).
