Mokokchung, 6 June (MTNews): Patkai Christian College – Autonomous (PCC) achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first college in Nagaland to be listed among the top 200 colleges in India. PCC secured a position in the rank-band of 151-200 out of 2,746 participating colleges in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 rankings, as announced by the Union Ministry of Education on 5 June.

However, Nagaland University (NU), the only central university in the state, has experienced a further decline in its ranking in the NIRF. NU fell out of the 151-200 rank band it held in both 2021 and 2022, with its highest ranking in 2018, when it reached the top 100 at 95.

PCC is the sole representative of Nagaland in the NIRF 2023 India Rankings, which assess institutions across the country in four categories: Overall, University, College, and Research Institutions, along with seven specific subjects.

In the Overall category, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras maintained its first position for the fifth consecutive year in 2023. Indian Institute of Science (IISc) secured the second spot for two years in a row, while Delhi University surpassed IIT Bombay to claim the third spot.

Thanks for your publication on the vacation industry. I’d personally also like to add that if you are a senior taking into consideration traveling, it truly is absolutely imperative that you buy travel insurance for seniors. When traveling, elderly people are at high risk being in need of a professional medical emergency. Obtaining the right insurance package in your age group can safeguard your health and give you peace of mind.
