Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y. Patton, in a series of tweets on Wednesday accused Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra as “appeasement yatra” and called it an attempt by the Congress to “re-launch” him.
Patton tweeted, “NE had been egregiously ignored during the ten years of the UPA govt. and the former PM, who reached Parliament from NE, never cared about Nagaland, which is now Congress-mukt.”
According to him, Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi is an “ongoing theatrical” for power and is ineffective.
In his tweet, he praised PM Modi’s “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” and claimed that India stands united and strong under his guidance and vision.
2/2: NE was egregiously ignored during the ten years of the UPA govt, and the former PM, who reached Parliament from NE, never cared about Nagaland, which is now Congress-mukt. The ongoing theatrical called #BharatJodoYatra led by Mr Rahul Gandhi is for power and is ineffective.

Meanwhile, INC Nagaland in a tweet replied to the Minister’s tweet saying that the entire BJP leadership is rattled as Bharat Jodo Yatra just kicks off. The tweet then claimed, “Rahul Gandhi is the only political leader in the country who is fit enough to undertake 3570 kms yatra in 150 days” and declared that the “countdown for fascist forces has begun”.
