Peren, 10 June (MTNews): The “First 1000 Days” in Peren was launched by Vineet Kumar IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Peren at CMO Conference Hall Peren on 9 June.

Vineet Kumar in his speech requested the medical department, the allied departments and other stakeholders to spread more awareness on the importance of Child Health and Antenatal Care, the complete nutrition of early childhood development and the importance of vaccination in children. He also urged the public not to be carried away by superstitious beliefs.

 

Dr Limatula Ao, CMO Peren gave the welcome address. Dr Supongmenla Walling, DPO RMNCHA+N on her PowerPoint presentation shared on the importance of First 1000 days; critical interventions in the 1000 days; status of Antenatal Care coverage (ANC) in the state; government schemes for the first 1000 days and importance of antenatal care.

 

Dr Imtiakum, SMO Jalukie CHC presented quality ANC delivery at the hospital. Dr Dennis H Chingpen, Obs & Gynae, DH Peren shared PMSMA & point of care testing in ANC. Dr Chapkelilakbo Dailam gave an overview on the importance of vaccination in children.

 

I Tsungrosongla, DWO Social Welfare, Peren explained the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vantana Yojna (PMMVY) Scheme and nutritional support during the first 1000 days with a technical explanation. Temsumenla Kipgen, BPM, Ahthibung block chaired the program. S.Y Sangram, UDA invoked God’s blessings. Vote of thanks was given by Dr Lanuakum, DyCMO.
