Runway India (The Banana Community), in collaboration with the EEP Nagaland Pollution Control Board, organized two environmental training workshops in Peren District on February 18 and 20, 2025. The workshops, which were held at four schools across the district, engaged more than 100 students in total.

The first session, held on February 18, took place at All Saints Higher Secondary School and Baptist Higher Secondary School. The second session, conducted on February 20, was held at St Xavier College and St Xavier Higher Secondary School.

The workshop was aimed to educate and empower the youth to take an active role in environmental conservation. These sessions focused on raising awareness about pollution control, sustainable practices, and the importance of preserving natural resources. The workshops were interactive and included hands-on activities and practical learning to help students better understanding their role in safeguarding the environment.

“The session was a positive response with students eager to learn more and commit to eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. We are hopeful that the students who participated will spread the message of environmental responsibility throughout their communities,” an update from Runway India received here stated.
