Kohima, April 1 (MTNews): The Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (DESDE) conducted a performance review for the MGNF program under the World Bank-assisted “Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion” (SANKALP) of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India on 31 March 2023.
The MGNF program is an initiative of the MSDE, implemented by the DESDE and the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK) Kerala as the Academic Partner.
Under the MGNF program, eleven young fellows are placed in eleven districts of Nagaland supporting the district administrations for effective skill planning and management since October 2021. In the presence of the Director, DESDE, the MGN Fellows made presentations on their initiatives around awareness and mobilization for skill training, job melas, entrepreneurship development, and advocating and pushing the skill development agenda in their respective districts.
The event was chaired by Diepeu Mero, State Resource Associate, MGNF Nagaland, IIMK, and the closing remarks was delivered by Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, Deputy Director, DESDE.
