Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the Ambassador of Peru to India, Javier Manuel Paulinich Velarde, announced in New Delhi that Peru will be the Partner Country for the 25th edition of the Hornbill Festival, which begins on 1st December 2024.

The Peruvian Ambassador informed that artists, cultural performers, and dancers from the South American country are expected to participate in various festival events. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio welcomed Peru’s

participation in the upcoming festival and expressed confidence that the partnership would bring the two countries closer, strengthen bilateral ties, and enhance people-to-people contact. He also appreciated the Ambassador’s efforts in making the partnership a reality and conveyed that Nagaland is looking forward to welcoming the Peru delegation to the “Festival of Festivals.”
