Mokokchung, June 11 (MTNews): Primary Health Centre, Ungmafelicitated Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, NLA;Kaito Aye, Minister, Agriculture & Co-operation, Govt. of Nagaland and SoyimGazetted Officers’ Association (SGOA) at a felicitation and dedication program today at the PHC Ungma premises.

 

 

SGOA donated a semi-automatic analyzing machine, and Kaito Aye donated the construction of a toilet, while Sharingain Longkumer donated his two months’ salary to the PHC. Rev. Dr. Noklen Longkumer, Pastor of UBA, delivered the dedicatory prayer.

 

In his vote of appreciation, Dr. Sholongba T Jamir, MO, PHC Ungma, thanked all the donors, including the Ungma Baptist Church for financial assistance, as well as the Ungma Village Council for consistently assisting the PHC financially and materially, and the land owner.

 

Dr. Sholongba further stated that the semi-automatic analyzing machine will aid in the assessment of glucose, liver function, kidney function, and lipid profile. The public can take the test every day except Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

Longjakrep Jamir, PRO to the Speaker, NLA, spoke on behalf of the Speaker, Nokzenkaba spoke on behalf of Kaito Aye, Minister of Agriculture and Co-operation, while T. Mayang, Secretary, SGOA spoke on the occasion.

 

R. Nungshi Jamir, Chairman of the Ungma Village Council, thanked all contributors and praised all PHC staff, including physicians. He asked all PHC staff to be punctual and diligent in their work. “If we use the machines and work hard enough, our PHC will be able to meet the demands of the neighbouring communities,” he stated.

 

Lim, Chairman, Health Centre & Management Committee, Ungma, gave the welcome message, which was chaired by Imyangerla, president, WatsuMungdang, Ungma Unit.
