In line with directives from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, and to foster national pride, deepen civic engagement, and strengthen unity among the youth in Phek District, the District Core Committee held a meeting on November 6 in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Phek.
The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Phek, focused on planning commemorative and participatory programs for the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
An essay writing competition is scheduled for November 14, followed by a cleanliness drive on November 15.
The first “Patyatra: Sardar @ 150 Unity March” will take place on November 15 from 8:00 AM, starting at the Clock Tower and ending at the Town Hall, Phek. Participants will include students, youths, and others.
The second “Patyatra: Sardar @ 150 Unity March” is planned for November 19, beginning at the DC Office, Phek, and concluding at the Public Ground, Phek Town. This march will involve government employees, colony and ward leaders, the general public, and other citizens.
