An awareness session on the importance of health and nutrition, POCSO Act, and Child Helpline 1098 was conducted at Royal Foundation School, Phek, on September 10 as part of the ongoing 10-day Special Awareness Campaign under SANKALP – HEW on women-centric themes.

Dr. Pfukrolo Koza, Senior Dental Surgeon and District Nodal Officer, NOHP & NTCP Phek, highlighted a wide range of concerns regarding health and nutrition, focusing particularly on the issue of anaemia among adolescents.

Ratolu Khusoh, Case Worker at Sakhi-OSC, provided awareness on the prevention of early child marriage under the POCSO Act. Hutolu Kezo, Counselor at Child Helpline 1098, Phek, shared information about the services provided by Child Helpline 1098.

The program was organised by the District Administration and SANKALP-District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti, Phek, in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department, Sakhi-OSC, and Child Helpline 1098, Phek. Altogether, 300 adolescent boys and girls attended the program.

The welcome address was delivered by Tsuvelu Hoshi, Assistant Headmistress, Royal Foundation School. The program was chaired by Vilenuo K. Thisa, DMC, DHEW Mission Shakti Phek.
