The Phenshünyu Lowjvu Nezen Dimapur has expressed “deepest outrage” and strongly condemned the “shocking and cowardly act of abduction and brutal assault” on its members by an underground outfit on December 16, 2024, at Church Road, Dimapur.
In a press release, the union described the incident as “a direct attack on the dignity, security, and fundamental rights of individuals.” Strongly condemning the incident, the union asserted, “We, as a union, will not tolerate such actions against any of our members.”
Terming the abduction and inhumane treatment as “not just an assault on an individual but an attack on the entire community and the principles of justice and democracy,” the union stated that such acts appear to be “an attempt to instill fear and intimidation among our community members, which is completely unacceptable.”
The Phenshünyu Lowjvu Nezen made a firm call for action, urging authorities to “take this matter seriously and bring the culprits to justice without delay.” The union further emphasized, “We will not remain a silent spectator to such barbaric acts.”
Reaffirming their resolve, the union declared, “We stand united and resolute. The union will continue to fight for justice for our member and ensure such heinous actions are met with the strongest legal and organizational resistance.”
