Shamator, Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland witnessed the conclusion of the statewide Nagaland Police recruitment rally 2026, with physical and medical screenings successfully completed across the districts. Over the three-day recruitment in Shamator, 577 candidates participated, of whom 187 qualified for the written examination. On the final day, 57 candidates cleared the tests out of 165 appearing, marking the end of the Shamator segment of the recruitment drive.
In Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland, the recruitment tests spanned six days, with 2,020 candidates appearing out of 3,377 applicants. A total of 144 vacancies were notified across these three districts. Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Aotula T. Imchen, oversaw the recruitment process and confirmed the successful completion of the screenings.
DIGP IR South Lakha Koza, IPS, expressed his appreciation to the Yimkhiung Tribal Council and the rank and file of DEF Shamator, led by Shinde Suresh K., IPS, Superintendent of Police, Shamator, for their dedicated efforts in organizing the rally. He extended his best wishes to all successful candidates for their upcoming interviews, urging them to continue their commitment to serving the State with dedication.
The recruitment rallies across Nagaland reflect a continued effort by the Nagaland Police to select capable and disciplined personnel, ensuring that vacancies in the force are filled with young and motivated candidates.
