This assembly election features three candidates from the 2 Dimapur II AC: Moatoshi Longkumer (NDPP), S Amento Chishi (Congress), and Y Vikheho Awomi (LJP-RV).

Wokha: NCP supporter allegedly assaulted
Meanwhile, in Wokha district, an NCP supporter’s house was reportedly attacked and destroyed on Saturday at around 7:45 PM by allegedly BJP workers from Longsa village in Wokha district. One Tsenkathung Humtsoe, according to sources, has been hospitalized.
An FIR has been filed at the nearest police station, it was reported.

On February 10, unknown miscreants torched a farmhouse belonging to Chiyingo Kikon, personal assistant to deputy chief minister Y Patton, in the 37 Tyui AC, Wokha district. This was followed by the torching of a vehicle in 39 Sanis AC, Wokha district.
Poll-related violence was also reported in Mokokchung district on February 6 when unidentified miscreants vandalized a house in Mokokchung town at around 10:30 PM injuring two persons.
This was further followed by a minor squabble between supporters of two candidates in 28 Koridang AC on February 15 which the police have called the situation ‘tense’.
