A joint meeting of the Poumai Naga Union (PNU) Executive Council, Advisors, Assembly Affairs, Frontal Organizations—PNM, PNTM—and Zonal Organizations CNU, LNU, and PNC was held on December 6, 2024, at the PNU Office. The meeting addressed the indictment order issued by NSCN/GPRN against PNU officials and the subsequent declaration of non-cooperation by the PNU towards NSCN/GPRN, ANSAM, and NWUM.
The meeting also extensively deliberated on an appeal made by various groups, including the Naga Hoho, NSF, GNF, NPO, Naga Senior Citizens Manipur, and the PNU General Assembly, which convened on September 30, 2024, at Purul Atongba. During that meeting, resolution no. 4 was passed, which called for the revocation of the non-cooperation movement.
After thorough deliberation, the meeting decided to revoke the non-cooperation stance with NSCN/GPRN, ANSAM, and NWUM in the larger interest of Naga society. The decision was reached on December 6, 2024, and reflects the union’s intent to strengthen unity within the Naga community while continuing its commitment to the Naga cause.
The PNU emphasized that this step was taken in the larger interest of the Naga people and called for mutual understanding and cooperation moving forward.
