Mokokchung, October 20 (MTNews): The Department of Power has informed that vegetation clearance of 132kV and 66kV transmission lines under Transmission Division Mokokchung is scheduled from 24th October to 26th November 2022.
In this regard, the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Mokokchung has informed that there will be total shut down of power from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily during the mentioned days in order to facilitate smooth execution of the works, which will affect the districts of Zunheboto, Tuensang, Longleng and Mon as well asTuli Sub-Division. It was informed that the vegetation clearance is necessitated with the aim to provide stability and avoid unwarranted disruption of power supply.
The EE further appealed to all public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
