Mokokchung, 17 October (MTNews): The Department of Power, Office of the Executive Engineer, Mokokchung Transmission Division, has issued a notification regarding vegetation clearance for 132kV and 66kV Transmission Lines under Transmission Division Mokokchung. The scheduled clearance is set to take place from October 23 to 18 November to ensure the continued stability of power supply and to avoid any unforeseen disruptions.
To facilitate the smooth execution of the maintenance work, it was informed that there will be a complete power shutdown from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily during the specified period. This decision was made with the primary aim of providing a consistent and reliable power supply to the region, it was informed.
The Department of Power also appealed to all residents and businesses located in the affected areas to extend their cooperation and understanding during the power shutdown period, considering it a necessary inconvenience for the overall betterment of the power infrastructure.
