Mokokchung, July 22 (MTNews): Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, 220/132xV Mokokchung GIS Substation as part of its CSR initiative provided twenty standalone solar lights to Mokokchung Police. Power Grid Mokokchung Chief Manager Sub-Station, S.P. Zou handed over the solar lights to Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, Aotula T. Imchen at a brief formal program at Police Station-1, Mokokchung on Friday.
The 20 standalone solar lights have been installed at 8 police stations in the district, as well as RHQ, SP Office, and New Reserve, according to SP Mokokchung, who also added that the solar lights would benefit both police personnel and the general public because police and the public work hand in hand.
The SP went on to appreciate the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for its contribution to the Police Stations while also requesting for the same cooperation for the society in the days to come. She also encouraged people to adopt green and renewable sources of energy.
