Championship to be held from November 18 to December 11, 2025

The Department of Youth Resources and Sports (YRS) convened a meeting on November 10, 2025, at the DC’s Conference Hall, Chümoukedima, to discuss matters related to the upcoming Dr. T. Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship 2025–26.

The meeting, chaired by the Director of Youth Resources and Sports, Kethosituo Sekhose, focused on reviewing and finalizing preparations for the national-level championship. Convenors and co-convenors of the Organizing Committee and Functional Area Committees attended the meeting, where issues related to accommodation, security, reception, and technical arrangements were deliberated.

Deputy Commissioner of Chümoukedima, Polan John, said that it is both a privilege and a challenge for the district administration to host a national-level tournament and urged all members involved to work together and ensure coordinated efforts among all stakeholders for the smooth and successful conduct of the championship. SDO (C), Chümoukedima, Chumbenthung Murry, was designated as the nodal officer on behalf of the district administration.

The Dr. T. Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship is one of the major national sporting events hosted by Nagaland. The tournament will be held at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium from November 18 to December 11, 2025, with a total of 16 teams participating. The meeting was attended by officials from the Youth Resources and Sports Department, Nagaland Football Association, District Administration, DPRO Dimapur, and other dignitaries.
